DONA Certified Birth Doula

Psalm 139:13-14

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

Every single birth is beautiful, and it is my goal and privilege as your doula to come along side you to support + empower you to help you achieve your own beautiful birth.

Having a baby is a very special time and something you can look back on as being one of the best experiences of your life. I believe that women’s bodies are made to give birth naturally. I believe that when women are supported and educated, they can feel confident going forward in allowing their body to do what it was designed to do. I want to help moms feel confident and empowered as they go through pregnancy, labor, and birth. I’m a strong believer in when you know better you can do better, and knowledge is power. So, my desire is to help mamas make informed choices. When the woman feels confident in her decisions, she will then feel confident going forward in her pregnancy, labor, and birth. My goal is to help provide the information needed to help the mom make those informed decisions that she feels are going to be best for her and her baby.

As much as we would like your birth to go exactly according to your birth plan, sometimes plans need to change, and so many emotions can surround those changes. My desire is to support you during your highs AND your lows …during your strengths AND your weaknesses. Walking alongside with you through it all is what I’m there to do.

I want you to look back on your birth experience and have the feeling like you were supported and cared for no matter how your labor and birth turned out. It would be an honor to be able to come along side you, empower you, support you, pray with you, breath with you, encourage you, and rejoice with you. Your body was made to do this!

“Whenever and however you give birth, your experience will impact your emotions, your mind, your body, and your spirit for the rest of your life.”
