Labor Doula Services

  • Phone/text/email support - once you book with me, I’m available for any questions/concerns you may have until 8 wks postpartum.

  • Prenatal visits - I will meet with you 2 times during your pregnancy. During those times we will discuss your birth plan (I can help you develop one if needed), discuss your desires for your pregnancy & birth journey, and I will go over what my role will be at your birth. I will also go over various exercises to help your body get ready for labor & delivery, as well as various relaxion and pain management/comfort methods.

  • You will have access to my list of referrals for midwives, doctors, chiropractors, massage therapists, lactation consultants, etc.

  • 24/7 on call support - Around 37 weeks, I am available to you 24/7 for on-call support. I will help coach you through the early phases of labor, and meet you wherever you are choosing to give birth whenever you feel like you need my support. I will stay with you for the entire labor & delivery and for about an hour after you give birth until you get settled. If you are going to breastfeed, I can help you with that initial feed, as well.

  • Pictures - I can also take pictures during your labor, birth, and those first precious moments of meeting your little one.

  • Postpartum visits - You will have the option of choosing 5 separate visits (~2 hrs. each visit) over the course of the first 8 weeks postpartum. I will come to your house to help with whatever you need…picking up groceries, cleaning, holding your baby while you sleep, answering any postpartum questions you may have, etc. You will get to pick when you would like those visits to be.

What is a Doula?

The word ‘doula’ comes from the ancient Greek word meaning ‘a woman who serves’. Today, ‘doula’ refers to a professional trained to provide physical, emotional, and informational support to women during their pregnancy, labor, birth, and early postpartum period.
